Common Breastfeeding Q&A

1. Is breastfeeding the best for babies?

Absolutely. In most occasions breastfeeding is the best and only nutrition that our babies need in their first 6 months. Solids should be introduced around 6 months of age. Breastfeeding should continue until or after baby is 2 years old.

2. How to improve my breast milk supply?

Our body will naturally produce enough milk for our baby if we feed on demand. It is important to notice feeding cues from our babies and react promptly and frequently. It is also highly important to avoid the introduction of artificial feeding when it is not medically indicated. Apart from these, it is critical for mothers to be supported physically and emotionally during the breastfeeding period. It is our honor to walk this breastfeeding journey with you and provide the best support we can.

3. How to tell if baby is drinking well?

We can observe whether a baby is drinking well by simply looking at baby’s expression and body language, monitoring the urination and bowel movements, as well as tracking the body’s weight and growth percentile.
